Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities for residents in an assisted living or nursing home setting.
- Coordinate and manage activity schedules to ensure a variety of options for residents.
- Provide social work support to residents, fostering a sense of community and connection.
- Assist with personal care tasks, such as helping residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure their needs are met.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, including memory care techniques.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating events and outings for residents.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage activity schedules and coordinate events.
- Knowledge of social work principles and techniques to support residents' emotional well-being.
- Experience working in assisted living or nursing home settings, understanding the unique needs of older adults.
- Compassionate caregiving skills to provide assistance with ADLs and support residents' independence.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff members.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies to provide specialized support.
