LVN / LPT On - Call #690

ANKA is looking for kind and flexible LVN/LPT for an on-call position to join our team at Rancho ART in Hemet, CA.

About the position: The role of LVN/LPT provide daily nursing services such as quality nursing care, individual counseling, medication support, educational programs, and case management services for clients. Participate in updating of treatment plans, administer medications, and monitor interactions, side effects, etc., in consultation with Program Administrator, physicians, psychiatrists, and all other treatment staff. Chart and report any significant changes in condition and general progress of residents to Program Administrator, Medical Director, physicians and psychiatrists.
Duties and Responsisibilites:
Provide daily nursing services such as quality nursing care, individual counseling, medication support, educational programs, and case management services for clients.
Participate in updating of treatment plans, administer medications, and monitor interactions, side effects, etc., in consultation with Program Administrator, physicians, psychiatrists, and all other treatment staff.
Chart and report any significant changes in condition and general progress of residents to Program Administrator, Medical Director, physicians and psychiatrists.
Monitor all medications and sign and certify the accuracy of counts and inventory each day.
Follow and adhere to all medication policies regarding dispensing, administration, record keeping, storage and accountability for inventory.

Experience and Education:
Requires three years of experience in mental health field
Bi-Cultural/ Bi-Lingual (Spanish) experience preferred. Understanding of observation and recognition of symptoms and reactions requiring knowledge of cause and effect factors in dealing with care of mental health clients
Up to 4 years of demonstrated college or university attendance may be substituted for the required vocational nursing experience on a year for year basis.

License Required:
Possession of a valid California license to practice as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, issued by the California Board of Psychiatric Technician Examiners, current and in good standing.
A valid California Driver's License - Class III/C. Proof of auto insurance.

Skills and Abilities:
Able to handle clinical issues in a fast paced environment resulting from the complexity of mental health treatment facility issues
Ability to work with a variety of people in situations varying from community, hospital, family and other sources.
Ability to communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to communicate verbally by phone in English in a clear and concise manner. Basic computer skills for using word processing (WORD), email (OUTLOOK), Internet, and related business applications.
Physical Abilities:
Requires performance of facility chores, errands and ability to lift 40 pounds approximately 3-4 times per week. Navigate several flights of stairs during each work period.
Ability to work all shifts for a 24-hour, 7-day a week facility. Ability to drive safely in heavy traffic and inclement weather.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
