Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing engineer who will work with manufacturing engineers to help sustain products as well as find cost savings solutions. Additionally, the mfg. engineer will assist in planning and execution of special projects to enhance data sharing across systems and organizations.

Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will demonstrate free thinking and exhibit a high level of creativity.
Participate in and manage Cost Savings Reviews with internal and external suppliers
Work with Launch Team Engineers to ensure that all product requirements are met
Understand Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control Plans, QIP, DQIP
Direct Process and Tooling Technicians on related issues that need to be addressed
Recommend multiple design ideas and work with internal team to provide dimensional layouts (AutoCAD)
Enter data into various systems (SAP, Hydra)
Contribute design concepts to improve quality of product or reduce product cost
Assist engineers in creation and routing of manufacturing engineering changes
Review existing data sets, determine gaps, solve or work with others to complete missing information
Work with packaging engineers to develop new and low cost packaging of electrical connectors.
Lead team on Assembly and Molding processes and develop new and innovative cost savings technologies using the state of the art equipment and bring in automated technology.

Qualifications

years of experience in plastics engineering; 1
years in automotive industry
Proficiency with CAD
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Prior Project Engineer / Project Management experience preferred
Ideal Candidate would also have
Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering Technology
Experience with Injection Molding and automated assembly
Experience with PTC PDMLink, MS Excel, MS Project, SAP, Hydra, and Web Browsers
Experience with small precision plastic part design
Additional certifications preferred include RJG Master Molder I & II training
